On April 27, 1993, at the initiative of Mirosław Gassen-Piekarski and Alicja Metel from the Society of Golub- Dobrzyń Land’s Enthusiasts a memorial to commemorate the local Jewish community was unveiled at Piłsudskiego Street. Two plaques with the following lines were set into a red brick wall: “In the memory of Jews, residents of Dobrzyń and Golub, killed by the Nazis during World War Two. All who follow the path look closely and watch. (The Book of Lamentations XII)”.
