The cemetery in Leipzig is located by a field road which is en extension of a street running next to the church. At the border of the cemetery, a stone obelisk can be noticed. It has a plaque with the following inscription: "To Jews from Leipzig – the inhabitants ". There are a few dozen tombstones in the cemetery. Some of them are damaged or covered up with ground. The greatest number of matzevot has been preserved in the opposite corner of the cemetery in relation to the obelisk (November 2009). The entire area of the cemetery (about 1 ha) is tidied up. All unnecessary vegetation has been removed (trees have remained) and the whole territory has been tidied up thoroughly.
