The House of Prayer (the Wieniawa district - during the interwar period Przedmieście Wieniawa) was established in 1917. It was the private property of Jankiel Szochmacher, residing at 42 Przedmieście Wieniawa Street. In 1922 daily attendance at the House of Prayer equalled 40 people[1.1].
