Talmud-Torah school was founded in Szczecin in 1930. It was initially located at 25 Große Wollweberstraße, and after 1933, it was moved to 3 Klosterhof (today around Maiden Tower)[[refr: | FR Barran, Städte-Atlas Pommern, Leer, 1993, p 114]]. Before its establishment,  Jewish children were educated in public schools in the city. However, after Hitler's seizure of power,  the presence of Jewish children in such schools was no longer tolerated, therefore, in 1934 the community established its own primary school.
