In the Museum of Technology in Warsaw one can see the oldest calculating machine designed by Abraham Israel Staffel. The machine, invented in 1842, has a mechanism consisting of a set of gears contained in a wooden case of walnut tree. It was able to add, subtract and convert zlotys into rubles.

In the Museum’s collections there are other exhibits connected with Polish Jews (including typewriters adapted to Yiddish language). However, they are not presented as part of the permanent exhibition.
