The Jewish cemetery in Wołomin is located in the eastern part of the town, in Andersa Street (formerly Ślepa Street). We do not know when the necropolis was established – probably it happened at the beginning of the 20th century.

Until the 1970s the cemetery was fenced and there were not many gravestones there. Then the cemetery was levelled. In the 1990s children, who were playing there, happened to find some human bones in the cemetery area.

Now the cemetery is cut across by a few soil-surfaced roads and the area of the cemetery, surrounded by buildings, is illegally used as a waste dump. There are no gravestones or any other commemorative forms, such as a monument or information board [1.1].
