Zeew Wolf Klausner was a rabbi in Kcynia from 1811 until his death in 1861. He was born on 18 October 1761 in Rawicz. In the years 1804-1811, he was a rabbi in Oborniki. He ran a highly regarded yeshiva in Greater Poland that was closed down in 1861. His best students were his own four sons Zwi Hirsch, Mordechai Itzig, Jakob and Isachar Beril and a later rabbi of Trzcianka – Loew Blaschke. During the last 7 years of his life, Rabbi Wolf Klausner was blind, but he did not stop taking decisions, passing sentences and conducting classes. As a supporter of Orthodoxy, he cooperated with Rabbi Akiba Eger of Poznań. The predecessors of Klauzner were the following rabbis: in 1791 – Mordechaj from Dobrzyca, Zeew Wolf Rawitsch, Isochar Beril Klausner from Kobylin – he was a father of a poet and writer Max Albert Klausner.
