Zosia Poznańska was born in Łódź on 8 June 1906.
Parents: Mosze Poznański and Hana (Basz) Poznańska.
Siblings: Olek born in 1904 and Mania born in 1908.
The Poznański's family moves to Kalisz in 1908.
In Kalisz, Zosia Poznańska takes part in the actions of Hashomer Hatzair since 1919. In 1925, she decides for an aliyah to Erec Israel as a halutz (pioneer) with a group of young people from Kalisz also working for Hashomer Hatzair. This group co-founded the kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek.
In 1926 in Palestine, she meets Leopold Trepper who offers her joining the Palestine Communist Party. Zosia Poznańska comes back to Kalisz to look after her ill sister in 1927. At the end of the year, she goes back to Erec Israel and stays there till 1930. She works in the party with Shmuel Tzinamon.
In 1930, on Trepper's request she moves to Paris and till 1932 she works in its premises. Then, from 1932 to 1936 she lives in Brussels and after that again in Paris (1937 – 1940).
When the war breaks out Trepper calls her up to the Red Orchestra. In October 1941, she is sent to Brussels to take care of the radio cell.
On the 13 December 1941 she is caught with two radio operators by the Germans and sent to the Gilles prison in Brussels. She is being interrogated and tortured since December 1941 till September 1942. She doesn't betray anyone.
On 28 September 1942 she commits suicide.
