The first Jews started to settle in Debrzno-Wieś in 1664. Interestingly, they settled in the nearby town of Debrzno in as late as the eighteenth century. The village constituted a part of the Prussian partition from 1772 and had a different name - Dobrin. One hundred and eighteen Jews lived here during the interwar period.
