Do czasów Zagłady w Kolbuszowej były dwie synagogi. Starsza z nich pochodziła z 1736 r.; być może powstała na miejscu pierwszej bóżnicy, wzmiankowanej w 1727 roku. Budowla została zniszczona przez Niemców po 1939 roku.
