The building, which until World War II housed the house of prayer of Chana and Abraham Lednitzer, is located in Kazimierz, Kraków, at 8 Mostowa/Trynitarska 18[1.1] (mortgage number 437).
The house of prayer was built in 1889[1.2] or 1907. The Lednitzer couple then financed the construction of a modernist house according to the architect Benjamin Torbe. Abraham Lednitzer headed the Lednitzer House of Prayer Association, which was to maintain the said house of prayer and the library of religious books used by its members.
In the interwar period, the owners of the building were Esra Uebersfeld, Halosza Gross, Uchla Bloch and Salomea Zweig. The superior of the house of prayer, on the other hand, was Leib Censor.
During the Second World War, the Germans devastated the building. Since the end of the war, it has not been returned to its original state and purpose. Today it houses a workshop.
