Among political organizations the Zionist Organization, which consisted in the middle of the 1930s of 250 members, had the most influence. The prominent Zionist activists were: Lejb Ruda (a merchant), Hercko Ferszt (a manager of a bank), Chiel Lewin (a merchant), Juda Lejb Ruda (shoemaker), Chiel Nodral (a municipal alderman).
