Tsukunft, Zukunft (Yiddish: Jungt Bund “Zukunft” – “Future” Youth Association) – educational youth organisation, founded in 1910 in Warsaw. At first, its members were supporters of the Bund and the Social Democracy of the Kingdom of Poland and Lithuania. In 1916, it became the youth wing of the Bund. Reactivated after World War II, it prepared young people for living and working in Poland, and preserved and developed Yiddish culture. It was active until 1948, when, under the pressure of communists, the Bund was incorporated into the Polish United Workers’ Party (formally in January 1949).
